Welcome to CBCS

Distinctly Christian, Academically Excellent, Service Minded

CBCS families, I wanted to update you on our latest plan for distance learning and continuing education
during this time.

  •  We will comply with the governor and health professional’s directive to close the campus until May 1. Of course, with all the uncertainty surrounding this pandemic, that date can also be extended.

  • The administrative team has developed our version of distance learning using available resources.

    • The first task is to get your child’s books. Books can be picked up from the school on Tuesday and Wednesday between 8am and 6pm. Elementary please go through the office to go to classrooms. Secondary can go to their building and lockers. If these times don’t work for you, please let us know when a good time would be.

    • Beginning Thursday, Elementary and Secondary teachers will begin to send out weekly or daily lesson plans with tasks to complete. This will be done through remind, e-mail, and/ or the chalkable website. Lessons may include book work or worksheets from the teacher that can be downloaded and printed for completion. Teachers from both sides may also create instructional videos for certain subjects that will be made available to you. Information will follow as to how this work will be turned in.

    • Teachers will be available to help students via remind or e-mail from 8-3 Monday-Friday.

    • Students currently in FLVS-no extensions have been granted, so all work must be completed by the target dates. Please work diligently to accomplish this.

    • All school related activities have been suspended at least through April 15.

    • We realize all work will be on-line. If you know of anyone who might need internet during this time, Spectrum is offering free WIFI for 60 days. To enroll please call 1-844-488-8395 for more information.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and we will do all we can to make sure the education of your children is the top priority. Also know we are in constant prayer for your families for good health as we navigate this terrain.

“In You O LORD I have taken refuge; let me never be ashamed. In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline Your ear to me and save me. Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me; for You are my rock and my fortress.”
–Psalm 71:1-3
